Resident Assistant
August 2014 - May 2017
As a Resident Assistant, I had the unique opportunity to build a community founded on respect in a variety of residence halls, while working with many different types of students. Throughout my three years as a Resident Assistant, I worked with both freshmen and upperclassmen, with an average floor size of 50 residents. I was tasked with monitoring a budget of approximately $150 a semester to put on a series of programs that build community, highlight campus and off-campus resources, and promote the pillars of living and learning, as set by the Office of Residence Life. Being a Resident Assistant taught me a multitude of transferable skills, including time management, community building, conflict resolution, team building, working with unique and diverse communities, and program and event planning.
Below are images representing some of my most successful programs and memorable aspects of the Resident Assistant position.
